Mary Katrantzou’s work has gone into constructing textiles. Striped coats and jackets turn out to be sewn from faille ribbons in contrasting colors, and there are innovative jacquard techniques, like gold thread woven into denim in toile de Jouy patterns. Perhaps that detail is hard to perceive in photos? Not to worry: These pieces are of course imminently ready to be viewed in person.
