The Latest Fashion Buzz, the project produced by Pitti Immagine in cooperation with L’Uomo Vogue and GQ Italia that shines the spotlights on some of the most talented and promising designers of men’s fashions, has awarded one of its participants with one year of pro bono services offered by Lagente – the agency that provides consulting, support and protection for creatives and brands - through their Green project.
Among the Fashion Buzzers that Lagente met at the opening of Pitti Uomo, YII was selected by Sara Maino (Vogue Talents), Gianluca Cantaro (L’Officiel Homme Italia), Riccardo Vannetti (Executive Vice President of Lagente) and Antonio Cristaudo (Marketing and development manager of Pitti Immagine).
YII – Nature’s spontaneity and youthful rebellion characterize the style and look of creations by Yii, the Malaysian designer based in Kuala Lumpur. His menswear revolves around a childish spirit to which he is very attached. Contradictions, curiosity, impressions, and impulsive decisions – the most revolutionary and creative ideas can only come by looking at the world through “young” eyes, and the phrase “we never grow” is like a mantra for his label.
